Windows Server 2003 Hangs on Reboot

Hello,

I have a Windows Server 2003 R2 x64 server running Exchange 2007 that hangs when attempting to reboot.  It has done this three times, and it requires a manual power-down of the server.  Doug

AT.exe Pauses 20+ seconds

This is kind of weird.  I use the AT task scheduler on a Windows Server 2008 SP2 (standard) system to run a status gathering program.  If I simply enter AT to a command prompt (run as administrator), one of my servers takes 20+ seconds before it returns the outstanding jobs.  A second, similarly configured, server takes about 8 seconds.  Any ideas why this long pause is happening?  The Task Scheduler service is configured for Automatic startup and is started.

I had recently set up server 2008 at my house, I was able to connect another computer with no problems but when I turned on my XBOX there was an error connecting to XBOX Live. I had XBOX working prior to installing server. After manually entering an IP address outside of the scope I set on the server it worked fine. My cell phone also had issues, it would sense WIFI but would not receive data over it, it was connected to an IP address within the scope, I cannot manually set that IP. Any Ideas?

Hi

Iam using IIS 7.0 in windows server 2008
Initially i had installed a server certificate using the below procedure
[Steps followed for installing]

1) Open IIS Manager and navigate to the level you want to manage.
2) In Features View, double-click Server Certificates.
3) In the Actions pane, click Complete Certificate Request.
4) On the Complete Certificate Request page, in the File name that contains the certification authority's response text box, type the path of the file that contains the response from the CA, or click the browse button (…) to search for the file.
5) Type a friendly name for the certificate in the Friendly name text box, and then click OK.
---

Then i removed the same certificate using the below procedure

[Steps followed for removing]
1) Open IIS Manager and navigate to the level you want to manage.
2) In Features View, double-click Server Certificates.
3) Select the server certificate you want to remove and click Remove in the Actions pane.
Note
Removing a server certificate may cause dependent services or programs to stop working.

4) In the Confirm Remove dialog box, click Yes.(i dont remember whether this 4th step has occured while i was doing)
-----

Now when i try to install the same certificate using the "[Steps followed for installing]" procedure, I am getting the below error content in a dialog box after step 5

[Error content ]

---------------------------

Details:
CertEnroll::CX509Enrollment::p_InstallResponse: ASN1 bad tag value met. 0x8009310b (ASN: 267)

Anyone please let me know how to solve the issue

We have three basic disks - we want to shift storage space from one disk space to another drive as the drive is getting full, I want to make sure of the followings:

1. Will it affect the data in the drive after converting to dynamic disks?

2. Will the Security and Sharing permissions be affected? As it is a file server.

3. The files shares are connected to another DFS server as well, will this be affected?

Please advise,

Regards

I get this message on a domain controller that i just put into production, running windows server 2008 r2, AD 2003.  This gets generated almost everytime i reboot the server.  It occurs 4 times in succession relating once to each of our external dns forwarders.  I have checked that DCOM uses tcp/ip.  I do not believe this to be impacting us significantly however i do prefer to know what this means and how to prevent it.
Thanks

I'm trying to install a Microsoft Hotfix (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2600100) on a Windows Server 2k8 box which has .Net Framework 3.5 SP1 installed, but its telling me

"None of the products that are affected by this install would be affected"

All prerequisites have been met, and it works on other Windows Server boxes which have .Net 2.0 Framework and .Net 3.5 Framework installed separately. Has anyone encountered something like this before?

I am getting some errors in a server 2003R2 SP2's application event viewer related to LoadPerf.

Hi,

I have problems with running the scanner software for a Fujitsu fi-6110 document scanner.

I'm using two other scanner softwares which are working without any problems.

Fujitsu support doesn't know any solution.

I'm using ThinClients. The scanner is connected directly to the server.

Any ideas how I can setup the system to make the software work?

Kind regards

Greetings.

I am looking to extract files from the Windows Server 2008R2 install.win file. I can access it fine, but cannot seem to find out what each folder (1-8) corresponds to which version of Windows. In other words, I want to select the correct file versions from the DVD for Windows 2008R2 64 bit. Thank you in advance for any suggestions you have.

Cheers, Rick

Getting Error Code 8000FFFF.

In the past, I've been able to update this server with no problem, this started happening last month.  I have tried several steps found on different blogs and forums, but am still experiencing the issue.

Thanks
