- There is avulnerability FIX for IIS "For Microsoft IIS - Fix FTP server does not support AUTH command" Please advice how to fix I couldn't find the proper way to fix this. I viewed few articles says that this is fixed in IIS version 7.0 But this not fixed.

Hi,
I need to send messages from server to any of its client. Is it possible without any third party tool?
Scenarios are:
1- Server is Win2003 and Clients can be WinXP, Vista, Win7 or Win8
2- Server is Win2008Server(any edition) and Clients can be WinXP, Vista, Win7 or Win8
3- Server is Win2010Server and Clients can be WinXP, Vista, Win7 or Win8
AFAIK if i use net send: It sends msg from 2003S to XP clients(But what to do for Others OS)
and I think for Win2008Server msg.exe could works, but its not for XP client.
Please give me some suggestion

I have windows server 2003 R2 installed which is domain member server. time by time the server hangs and when i try to access it shows gray screen. i can't access server by console and also by remote session. then we are restarting server and after some time it hangs with gray screen also. i scanned server using MSE and there is no viruses. please help me to resolve this problem.
Whenever I start Windows Update (or whether it starts automatically) it'll download a few MB's then hang and won't start again at all. Any attempt to open the Windows Update website then will result in IE hanging. When this happens the BITS service also hangs and cannot be stopped or controlled via bitsadmin.
The only way to recover from this situation is to disable the BITS service, restart, delete theC:\WINDOWS\SoftwareDistribution directory and enable BITS again, however this only causes Windows Update to download a few MB's before it'll hang again.
This happens on two different computers, both running Windows Server 2003. I'm completely clueless here. Any help will be appreciated.

I am not sure if this the appropriate location for this question but anyway... I am trying to refresh an old evaluation server with a valid license.
I perform the upgrade to the existing O/s with the CD1 of win2003R2. Part way through the install I get dialog box: "the file 'install.exe' on Windows 2003 disk 2 is needed". However, there is no "install.exe or "install.ex_" on the(win2003R2) CD 2.
Now, I know from a bit research that this is a known issues with a work around of uninstalling .NET2. I just wondered if this was really the best approach as I have also .NET 3.51 on the server and various apps which makes uninstalling .NET 2.0 a bad move.....

While attempting to install WordPress via the WPI, I watched the installer delete everything in the target location. I was warned about an overwrite, but it deleted all my files.
The installation subsequently failed and I am wondering where my files went.
Is there a location I can look for cached files to restore?

We are trying to use PRTG to monitor the last time windows update has ran. The sensor in PRTG that does that just pulls form the registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Windows Update\Auto Update\Results\Install\LastSuccessTime
This key isn't updating when windows update runs. We know updates were done in at least April 2013, but it continues to say the last time windows updates were installed was in Feb 2010. This is only happening to servers that are at remote locations, with a VPN to our main office. These boxes are all running Windows Server 2003 R2, this sensor is working on a machine with server 2003 R2 in the office.
We noticed in the same registry location that ...\Windows Update\Auto Update\Results\Detect and ...\Download are not updating their date/time either. We are using WSUS, but the servers in house are working with that sensor without problems, updating the date/time correctly.
We ran one update and rebooted one of the servers, as there was an error in a previous update so we figured that might have caused it, but it still wouldn't update the date/time.
I've posted in the PRTG community, but haven't had many replies, just one saying that they aren't having any issues. Any help, ideas, or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 with all the latest updates as VMware VM.
Once the server is rebooted we see about 12.5% of memory. If we zip a files of around 1GB, the memory utilization peaks up to 80% and never gets reduced. Under "Processes" menu of "Task Manager" the highest "Memory (Private Working Set)" and "Commit Size" is around 32MB and it is of "Explorer.exe".
Initially we were suspecting an application and now disabled all the services installed by the application.
How do we identify what is wrong? Is there any other known solution?

I have a problem with file sharing on a Windows Server 2008 Standard SP2.
I am not sure why this share folder become not accessible one in a while. I have no problem with share folder from the other PC in the same network with Windows Server 2003 Standard.
Every time the share folder become inaccessible, I will need to reboot the server. The odd thing is that I still can remote to the server where I share the folder, ping the IP etc.
I saw quite a number of similar incident by other user and some suggested a windows update. But, the problem is that this server is offline. Anyone can tell me which hotfix fix this? Or this is cause by other setting?

Hi guys, today i did some updates on my exchange server, it froze, forcing me to restart, then when it came back,i got to Falure configuring updates and it just stays there,ive tried last known good config and safe mode but cant get past that screen.

I had a win7 64 bit machine which needs to be activated by my KMS server which has capacity to license windows 7 64 bit os. But on one machine when we try to activate it it gives error "Error 0xc004c020 the activation server 2008 reported that the multiple Activation key has exceeded its limit". Even though we use below command to have kms server details.
slmgr -ckms
slmgr -skms <kms server ip>
slmgr -ato
Other machine are properly getting activated by KMS. Where can i fix this issue, Is there any registry entrywhich is restricting machine to get activated by KMS & still holding MAK details.
