Enable Disabled domain accounts with powershell
I need to enable or disable account on active directory domain controller (Server 2012) through powershell wmi:
1. I tried using command: wmic useraccount where "name='myusername'" set disabled=true
It returns an error:

2. I tried using command:

SMTP SERVICERSS, ISMTPOnArrival_OnArrival not fires

i have setup SMTP service, and add script using sink.
when i sent email to the local smtp doain (using alais that i configured)
i see the email in the drop folder but it seems like the script with the event ISMTPOnArrival_OnArrival
not fires.
what can i be missing?

also can i trigger a C# script?

Server 2016 with JBOD, File storage services, showing 32 HDD but only have 16 installed
Running Windows server 2016, I have a JBOD directly attached to this server, in the File and Storage services under Disks it is showing that I have 33 disks, 1 for the windows drive, and then the JBOD has 16 physical disks installed. Why then is the file and storage services showing that i have 33 disks when it should show 17. Have added pics below on how I have it connected right now, do not have to much experience with JBODs. But then also when i look under storage pools it only shows that I have 8 physical disks. Lastly, when I goto the "new volume wizard" it only shows the 16 physical drives that are installed. Im so retardadly confused right now.
One other thing, I am trying to figure out how to do a RAID on the JBOD disks, is that possible? I can find almost no documentation on if i can do that or if im just chasing a pipe dream.
Server is a Dell R900

Windows HPC 2012 R2 Node release task Failed

We are using HPC 2012 R2 in our environment and often observing task failure with Node release task with error code 3 though the release time out set as 600 seconds.

win 2K8 R2 not logging norma but safe made works
Hi, I have a win2k8 box (VM on Hyper-V), since couple of weeks, I am not able to have the logging screen, when I turn it on I have a message "windows starting..." then screen turns to black and nothing happens.
I reboot and chose "Safe mode with networking", it goes forward fine and I can log.
So what might be went corrupt or missing? Can I do a repair? if yes, how?

Copied Performance Monitor collector sets "not in active mode" -> how to open?
Hi,
We have bunch of .blg or Performance Monitor files (of Windows Performance Monitor) that have been moved from source machine to another destination prior to stopping the counter logs. When the files are opened and e.g. "Add counters" is tried, error message "The data source is not in active mode, this is generally caused by invalid log files." pops up.

Windows Upgrade
Hi ,
I have query associated with M365.
M365 offers windows upgrade to latest version.
Before precuring M365 Business Plan, user had win 8. When user precured M365 , it is obvious that OS will be upgraded to Win 10 Pro.
Question arises that if user cancels subscription , will OS downgrade or will remain the same ?
What is end result ?

Security logs username showing N/A
Good day All
I am busy setting up SSO from the DC server to the Sonic Firewall to monitor internet traffic user based.
I have set this up successfully with the other sites however this sites DC security logs show N/A in the user field for every single security log. This cannot be right? is this due to a setting or an update?
Please any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Reconnect issue to partition mapped drive
After the latest update I am now getting a popup message from Network Connections that says
"An error occurred while reconnecting M: to \\mybookworld\Public\Customer Files

Windows Server 2012 R2 VPN not authenticating for computer not joined to domain
Hi everyone,
I used to be able to VPN to our Windows Server 2012 R2 from any Windows 10 machine (not joined to domain), simply by creating a new VPN connection and enabling Ms-CHAP v2. When prompted during the VPN connection, I would enter domain user credentials for which VPN access is enabled.
Now all of a sudden this no longer works. When connecting, I am still prompted for login credentials, however credentials never actually authenticate. I know because I tested entering bogus credentials and I never actually get an error. After enter any credential (valid or not), the connection stalls with the message "Connecting to {xyz}".
I have been troubleshooting and everything looks perfect, so I am at a loss:
-VPN connection works perfectly for computer joined to domain
-Checked port 443 is open by navigating RWA
-Checked certificate binding
-No error in event viewer
-Checked VPN IP pool, tried connecting with specific ip/gateway/dns
I would be very appreciative if someone could point me in the right direction.

Getting time from pool.ntp.org
Hi, if I configure my server to get time from the NTP pool using this command:
w32tm /config /syncfromflags:manual /manualpeerlist:"0.pool.ntp.org 1.pool.ntp.org 2.pool.ntp.org 3.pool.ntp.org"
...will the server re-query DNS to get a new IP from the NTP pool if one of the current servers stops responding?

Bitlocker turned on itself automatically
Hi All,
I'm working on Drive Encryption project and the SCCM.
At first we have specific AD group OU to contain test machine and link the specific GPO about drive encryption into it (See below screenshot)
The BitLocker had never turn on itself before.
It was just today ago that we move the GPO to upper level group OU and it start encrypted some machine without any notice.
It's my target to have it turned on without end user activity but actually through SCCM deployment. Now I've a question why it never turned on itself before.
All of the effected machine has below condition :
TPM 2.0 is there and enabled.
UEFI and SecureBoot is enabled.

Windows Server 2008 R2 - Unable to RDP & Ip address keep coming to Autoconfiguration IPv4 Address
Hi All,
I got an issue with Windows Server 2008 R2 with NLB. Have tried the workaround but it doesn't resolve my issue for about a week.
Last week the server unable to ping and nslookup. I login to DNS server, and the IP/hostname still exists in DNS. After click apply once again, then suddenly the server connection and NLB working as usual. But I noticed after few hours, it still getting lost connection.
I've disconnected the NIC, re-enter the IP address, subnet mask, and default gateway. But nothing make changes.
Also tried "netsh winsock reset all" and restart server.
"netsh interface ipv4 show inter"
Also checked there is no duplicate IP and hostname, and DHCP was disabled.
Both LAN & NLB are using static IP address.
Is it related to DNS? Or shall I remove and re-added the IP and hostname from DNS?
Appreciate your help and any suggestions.

SCCM Console shows Client Type: None
Hello,
I have found that on the SCCM console some servers are showing Client Type: None, which impacts reporting.
There is no firewall enabled on any of these servers.
Investigated on one of the affected servers and found that the ccmnotificationagent.log (C:\windows\ccm\logs) contains the following errors:
Failed to receive buffer from server with err=0x80090304.
Failed to receive expected response from server with error 0x800903044.
GetCurrentlyLoggedOnUser Failed with error code = 800703f0.
The error code/s 0x80090304/80090304 mean
The Local Security Authority cannot be contacted
