Is converting a basic disk to a dynamic disk data destructive? I am converting my C drive so I can expand it because I am running out of space. The server is a vmware VM.

I found out the as below error login in the my Windows Server 2003. Woul you provide any suggestion to solve this problems? Thanks.
The description for Event ID (1903) in Source (HHCTRL) cannot be found. The Local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display message from a remote computer.

Format Server 2008 R2 [RESTORE TO A CLEAN STATE]
I need a comprehensive method to completely format windows server 2008 R2 to its default state and delete all information from the server (I want it in a state as if I were booting it up for the first time) with my raid configuration intact.
Model: PowerEdge 2900 with Raid configured and Windows Server 2008 R2
- Raid Intact
- Clean OS
- Wiped Server (delete all old files)

Office 2013 KMS client strange slmgr outputs
Hi,
corporate image contains Office 2013 Pro plus. Before capture I always do Office rearm. Recently, during KMS troubleshooting I eventually found strange behavior of slmgr outputs related to Office. Have to note that there is no any issue with transparent Office activation, that is why I never came across the wrong outputs.
1. Office 2013 Pro Plus is activated.
When run:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office15>slmgr.vbs /dlv b322da9c-a2e2-40
58-9e4e-f59a6970bd69
I get the message: Error: Prouduct key is not found (on screenshot below from French OS)
as mentioned Office is active.
When run
cscript ospp.vbs /act
I get the product activation successful. Last 5 characters are O2013 Pro Plus GVLK key and SKU ID shown is as Activation ID that I am using for Office -dlv.
How to explain this?
Could it be related to Installation Source of Office 2013? I see the same behavior when install Office (French) from scratch from the same Installation Source as installation in the corporate image.
On my PC Office 2013 Pro Plus is English version and I don't have any trouble when running
slmgr.vbs /dlv b322da9c-a2e2-4058-9e4e-f59a6970bd69 (the same activation ID that fails in French ver)

How can I add a registry key with a command line an set value?
I'd like to make a quick command line during some windows 7 imaging / testing. While testing, I need to disable the UAC. I found a registry fix to do this, but wanted to simply run it through a command line. Below is what I'm trying to add, and set the key value.

Need to add IE Exception in Server 2012 R2
Hi,
I Need to add few addresses in exception in Proxy Policy using group policy in Server 2012 R2. Since my DCs are all Server 2012 R2 where GPMC installed don't have Internet Explorer Maintenance tab which is deprecated. As Proxy policy was earlier in 2008 which was exported to Server 2012 R2 and then removed 2008. Please let me know where I can edit these settings.

Intermittent problem. Very slow to open files on network.
Any program (eg Excel or attaching a file to an email) on a Windows 2012R2 server running in terminal server mode, sometimes takes 2-3 minutes to open a file, then at other times instantaneous. Happens maybe 20 times a day. Loading on the server does seem
to be the problem. Other TS server or other PC's on the network not affected. Copy the file to local drive - opens instantaneous.

KMS issue with SFB 2016 (Error Code 0x4004F00D)
Our environment:
W2K28R2 DC's and 400 windows 7 VDI non-persistent clients. VDI running on VMware Horizon view, hosted by a third party.
We have implemented SFB 2016 a few months ago, with a KMS key from another third party that is hosting our SFB environment.
Yesterday and today a few users got the SFB 2016 activation wizard.
As you can see SFB is licensed.
KMS server is running fine. We have no issues with windows 7 or office 2010 licensing. Only SFB 2016, after running fine for a few months.
If I close SFB 2016 and start it up again, no problem. But if I logoff, logon again(I will get a new VDI from the VDI pool), I'll get the activation wizard.
How to troubleshoot this?

Issues with ADAC after installing December 2016 Security Monthly Rollup
After Installing either KB3205401 or KB3205400 on Windows Server 2012 R2 systems, we began seeing issues with the Active Directory Administrative Center (ADAC). Specifically, modifying any
of the default properties of an object in AD (e.g. Description, CN, DisplayName) causes ADAC to crash with the following error:
"Active Directory Administrative Center must close due to an unknown error."
Uninstalling the update appears to be the only fix.
At this point we're assuming this is an issue with one of the updates in the December 2016 Rollup, but we're wondering if others are encountering this issue.

Win 2008r2 MS16-120 did not update all DLLs
I've a windows server 2008 R2 that recently had MS16-120 installed.
However some of the server DLLs were not updated to the versions stated at https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3188730
At present this is causing a vulnerability scan to flag out that MS16-120 is not installed as the DLLs are not updated.
Is there a method i can reinstall the MS16-120 patch again, without uninstalling it?
Tried to reinstall the MS16-120 patch but it gave an error that the Patch had already been installed.

2012r2 stuck checking for WU
I'm trying to run windows update on my 2012r2 server. It is stuck searching for updates and never finishes.
I've tried running WindowsUpdateDiagnostic.diagcab, KB2937636 (download update) and KB949104 (Windows Update Agent).
Nothing is working. Suggestions are appreciated. ~Bob
