setting User Profiles to a secondary drive?

Hi,

I am currently attempting to set up user profiles for a friend who has a small office server running 2003. I have no problems setting up the user profiles to back up on the server, however the primary drive for the server is very small, and my friend would like the profiles setup to the secondary drive which is much larger.

This however I am sorry to say is not working out as well for me. I was thinking it would be something simple like in the 'profile path' typing something like:

\\servername\drive:\profiles\%username%

However this does not seem to work. Am I crazy to think that this can be done? I know I can use a logon script to Xcopy specific directories and files but I would much rather use the roaming profile option.

Thanks in advance for any help.
