Greetings,
Noobie to KMS here and I have a few questions I think someone can easily answer.
I have enter our new KMS Server 2012 key on our Windows Server 2008 R2 KMS server. It shows the list of keys it has in the database and this key has Notification 0xC004f009 (grace key expired). All other keys show "Unlicensed". Do i need to run the ato switch every time I add a new key to update the license status?
I tried to enter the Windows 8 KMS key but it would not take it. Is this because the KMS host is a server OS?
We have a large number of Windows 7 clients and I want to be sure I didn't cause any problems by activating this new KMS key. Are all keys equal in the database or do some override others?
Lastly, will setting up a KMS server in a test environment only work if I have over 25 clients on that test network? I have read that KMS needs a large number of clients before it starts to issue licenses.
Thank you,
Robert
